Spots on sides elongate vertically, forming short bars in adults (Ref. 48635).

Adults inhabit inshore waters at a temperature range of 26.0-29.0 °C (Ref. 4959). Adults feed mainly on fish. Usually seen swimming solitary in surface waters (Ref. 48635).
