This species is distinguished from by the following characters: with five pairs of gill pouches and gill apertures which are well-spaced and arranged in a nearly straight line; branchial slime pores 4-5; prebranchial pores18; body depth 5.7% TL; trunk pores 47-49, total pores 82-85; nasal-sinus papillae 2; with a 3/2 multicusp pattern; total cusps 54 (Ref. 131344).
