Espinas dorsales (total) : 3; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 25; Espinas anales: 3; Radios blandos anales: 15; Vértebra: 26. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: D III,25, all segmented rays are branched; A III,15 where anal-fin spines are moderately stout and pungent, the second spine stouter than third; scales in lateral series 37-38; circumpeduncular scales 16; predorsal scales 15, extending anteriorly to anterior AIO pores; caudal fin is rounded (Ref. 118103).
