Short description Chiavi di identificazione | Morfologia | Morfometria

Diagnosis: Distinguished from its trans-Andean congeners by the following: unmodified, completely pored lateral line-scales; absence of a distinct patch of dark pigmentation on the basal portions of the caudal fin; absence of a stripe of dark pigmentation along the middle rays of the caudal fin; relatively wide third infraorbital; straight to slightly convex predorsal profile; caudal peduncle depth 11.31-13.42% of SL; possess 10 to 12 branched anal-fin rays and 36 to 38 lateral-lines scales. This species differs from its congeners by the following: distance from the dorsal-fin origin to the pelvic-fin origin 26.7-34.1% of SL; rotund or somewhat vertically-elongate humeral mark; reticulate pattern of dark pigmentation on the dorsal portion of body; maxilla with a thick anterior process; robust posterior portion and a distinct flexion in the region where it extends past the posterior limit of the premaxilla; absence of a bony plate on the dorsal surface of fourth basibranchial; presence of one or more teeth on the third infrapharyngobranchial; dorsolateral portion of the dilatator groove that is roofed to varying degrees by processes from the frontal and pterotic; and, absence of a narrow ring-like process of the scapula forming the anterior border of scapular foramen (Ref. 55562).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00851 (0.00408 - 0.01776), b=3.02 (2.85 - 3.19), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.3   ±0.1 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilienza (Ref. 120179):  Alto, tempo minimo di raddoppiamento della popolazione meno di 15 mesi (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
