Etymology: Entomocorus: Greek, entomos = cut, sharpen + Greek, kore = pupil (Ref. 45335); melaphareus: Specific name derived from the Greek 'melanos', meaning black, and 'aphareus', meaning pelvic fin of a tuna, in reference to the unique dark coloration of pelvic fin.
