Épines dorsales (Total) : 3; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 8; Épines anales: 3; Rayons mous anaux: 5. Wide (3 rows of scales) black longitudinal stripe along the lateral line which is complete; transverse oblique black stripe on the dorsal fin; many cloudy black blotches on dorsum and sides; ventral fin extending over anus and almost reaching anal fin base; 13 predorsal scales regularly arranged; caudal peduncle deep (14.7%-15.5% of SL); shallow transverse groove between calvaria and snout tip (Ref. 50421).

Occurs in the lower layer of fast-flowing rivers (Ref. 50421).
