Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt) : 8 - 9; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 7 - 8; Ryggkotor: 35 - 36. Head relatively large than body; eye large. Branchiostegal rays 3. Ratio of caudal peduncle length to caudal peduncle depth less than 1.5 (Ref. 5123).
The holotype which is about 9.5 cm SL is an adult bearing eggs (Ref. 5123).
