Dorsale stekels (totaal) : 8; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal) : 9; Anale stekels: 2; Anale zachte stralen: 8. Caudal peduncle deep and long. Caudal fin small. Has 7 spines in first dorsal fin and general color of fish is yellowish brown with silvery speckles (Ref. 48635).
Post-larvae were collected from the branches of Pocillopora damicornis at a depth of 18 m in Apra Harbor, Guam.
