Moderately-deep body, 2.1-2.35 in SL. Tubed lateral line scales, 19-21, but usually 20 (Ref. 33558).
Feeds on benthic algae (Ref. 89972). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205). Diurnal species (Ref. 54980).
