Bestämningsnycklar | Morfologi | Morfometri
Mjukstrålar i ryggfenan (totalt) : 4; Mjukstrålar i analfenan: 45 - 56; Ryggkotor: 46 - 50. Forked caudal fin with the upper lobe 1.4-1.6 times longer than the lower lobe; less convex snout when viewed laterally.
Found in blackwater habitats associated with peat swamps. Feeds mainly on terrestrial insects and aquatic arthropods. Can be found hiding under leaf litter and is most active at night, swimming near the surface looking for food. Gravid females measured 3.7 cm SL, with ova relatively large (0.8 mm diameter).
