Coloration pattern: dusky background with 18-26 saddle-like dark bands on middorsal between nape and end of anal fin; black margins usually present on pectoral fin rays. Snout 27-30% in head length; postorbital distance 60-67% in head length. Head with strongly convex anterior profile.
