背棘 (總數) : 12; 背的軟條 (總數) : 10; 臀棘: 3; 臀鰭軟條: 5. Body reddish; scattered with irregular pale blotches and some black dots; a large black patch at the posterior part of dorsal fin from 7th to 10th spines. Mouth oblique; upper jaw reaching below posterior margin of eye (Ref. 43569).
