Silvery and semi translucent with 12 light brown saddles; whitish stripe on lateral line; brownish mottled lines on pinkish head; 2 white bars across pectoral base; other fins (except dorsal) hyaline (Ref. 5496).
Found in coarse gravel areas of the intertidal zone; may be found up to 20 m depth in warmer waters.
