Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal) : 99 - 110; Anale zachte stralen: 78 - 88; Wervels: 46 - 49. This species is distinguished by the following characters: head length 5.0-6.7, body depth 2.5-3.2 in SL; upper profile with notch anterodorsal to upper margin of upper eye; pointrf snout; pectoral-fin length of ocular side 9.7-11.7 in SL or about half of HL; teeth on the lower jaw of the blind side a narrow band; dorsal fin beginning behind posterior nostril nostrils of blind side, the first two rays detached from other rays, no rays prolonged and doral-fin pterigiophores shorter than neural spines of first four caudal vertebrae; D 99-110, A 78-88, pectoral-fin rays on ocular side 12-15, on blind-side 10-13, lateral line scales 86-100, gill rakers 3-5 + 5-9, vertebrae 10-11 + 36-38 (Ref. 126083).
