Alestidae (African tetras)
Eponymy: Henri Abel was the Administrator at Fort Sibut, Central African Republic, which is where the tetra holotype originated. The etymology states that he ‘developed native interest and materially assisted the expedition’ that collected the holotype. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
