This species is characterized by having a low number of precaudal vertebrae (67-69); rounded free rear tip of pectoral; only 1 developed lobe at the anterior part of nostril flap; nostrils' inner corner at about midway between tip of snout and upper lip; uniformly grey body color with dorsal fins blackish (Ref. 76802).
