Short description
Identification keys | Morphology | Morphometrics
This species is distinguished from R. macromystax by its snout shape which is more pointed and less projected, its snout length 11.3-13.3% SL (vs. 14.6-15.1% SL); with longer caudal peduncle, with postanal length 48.9-50.8% SL (vs. 45.2-46.1% SL); more distance of dorsal-fin to caudal-fin, its postdorsal length 57.5-59.0% SL (vs. 54.3% SL); abdomen plating variable, totally or partially covered with plates (vs. abdomen totally covered with plates) (Ref. 124527).
