Etymology: Rheocles: Greek, rheos = stream + Greek, kles, kleis = straits.
Eponymy: Franz Sikora (1863–1902) was an Austrian explorer and collector who was based in Réunion and collected in Madagascar for seven years (1890s). He discovered fossil remains of giant lemurs and early human settlers at Andrahomana Cave, Madagascar (1899). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
