Dorsal spines (total): 8; Dorsal soft rays (total): 22; Anal soft rays: 21 - 22. This species distinguished by the following characters: D 22; A 21-22 ; bony plates in dorsal row 31-33, in bony plates in upper lateral row 37-38; total chin barbels 21-22; anterior edge of 4th sensory pore of rostral projection is located anterior to anterior edge of premaxilla; perifacial rim prominent starting near anterior margin of lower jaw; spatulate rostral projection with a very narrow interspace between both rostral projections, rostral projection width 1.33-1.73 in interspace between both rostral projections; rostral projection with straight margin on the medial side at base; the upper free pectoral ray is longer than joined pectoral fin (Ref. 119302).
