Etymology: Crenicichla: Latin, crenulatus = cut, clipped + Greek, kichle = wrasse (Ref. 45335)tuca: The specific name tuca is a Guaraní word (tucá), meaning toucan (Ramphastos) in reference to the similarly enlarged lips/beak.
