Etymology: Aseraggodes: Greek, aggos, -eos, -ous = vessel, uterus, carapace of a crab + Greek, aseros, -a, -on = to remove the appetite (Ref. 45335); satapoomini: Named for Ukkrit Satapoomin, one of collectors of the holotype, in recognition of his research on the fishes of Thailand.
Eponymy: Ukrit Satapoomin is a Thai marine biologist who was head of the Phuket Marine Biological Center’s survey team and research group. He was one of the collectors of the holotype. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
