Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal soft rays: 7; Vertebrae: 20. Distinguished from all other members of the family Callionymidae, except Draculo mirabilis (=Eleutherochir mirabilis) by the absence of first dorsal fin. Differs from D. mirabilis by possessing 8 dorsal-fin rays vs. 12-14 rays, 7 anal-fin rays vs. 12-14, all anal-fin rays, except the last, unbranched vs. all rays branched), and the opercular membrane fused with the body vs. not fused (Ref. 56950).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.7500   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00955 (0.00394 - 0.02313), b=2.96 (2.75 - 3.17), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.1   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilience (Ref. 120179):  High, minimum population doubling time less than 15 months (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
