Freshwater; benthopelagic. Tropical; 10°S - 21°S
Africa: rivers Cunene, Okavango, upper Zambezi and Kafue (Ref. 52193). In the upper Congo basin reported from the upper Lualaba (Ref. 11970), Upemba area (Ref. 2801) and middle and upper Luapula (Ref. 11970, 27609). Also reported from the southern Congo River basin in Angola (Ref. 120641).
