Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal soft rays: 9 - 10; Vertebrae: 32. Can be readily and autapomorphically distinguished by the appendix of the gonopodium greatly expanded in wing like projections. Adult males differ from their congeners by having pleural rib 7 longer than pleural rib 8 (Ref. 76852).
