Marine; bathypelagic; oceanodromous (Ref. 51243); depth range 60 - 1464 m (Ref. 58018), usually 700 - ? m (Ref. 82363). Deep-water; 76°N - 63°S, 95°E - 20°E
North Atlantic: between 65°N and 47°N. South Atlantic: between the Subtropical Convergence and the Antarctic Polar Front (also circumglobal). Southern Ocean: 60°-63°S, 90°-120°W and in the Falkland Current region at about 52°S, 43°W.
