Dorsal soft rays (total): 15 - 19; Anal soft rays: 18 - 21; Vertebrae: 35 - 36. Males with broad basihyal. Neurocranium wide. Ventral opercular neuromasts 6-11; supraorbital neuromasts 26-30. Slightly pointed snout. Anal-fin base without scales and distal part of anal fin of males with long filamentous re rays. Dorsal-fin rays 17-19 in males, 15-17 in females; anal-fin rays 19-21 in males, 18-19 in females; caudal fin rays 30. Caudal and pectoral fin rounded. Snout gently pointed with lower jaw not elongated (Ref. 40938).
