Predorsal midline fully scaled ranging 17 to 20, usually 18 to 19; scales in horizontal series 49-52, usually 50-51; TRB 12 to 13; breast scaled; upper pectoral base usually with one to three scales; opercle may or may not be scaled; first and second dorsal fins in females with pigmentation on membrane between spines and rays appearing as vertical bars, generally not appearing as scribbles.
