Issue
Common names according to Britski et al. (1986) and Ihering (1968). The name L. agassizi was mentioned by Steindachner to refer to L. alexandri. It is possible to conclude because he indicated the same reference of description of L. alexandri (Steindachner, Ichthyol. Beitr. V, p. 106, pl. XV). Species redescribed in Pinto & Marzulo (1975:3).
