Etymology: Teleocichla: Greek, tele, telos = perfect + Greek, kichle = wrasse (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Not an eponym but referring to the cichlid’s black and grey skin giving it an ‘ashy’ appearance, so using the same root as the fairy story character. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
