This species is distinguished by the following characters: head length 2.9-3.7 and body depth 2.3-2.7 in SL; upper profile without notch anterodorsal to eyes; snout protruded and pointed, length of pectoral fin of ocular side 4.8-5.2 in SL and shorter than HL; upper jaw as long as lower eye diameter; teeth uniserial on lower jaw of the blind side; dorsal fin beginning behind posterior nostril of blind side; first two rays of the dorsal fin detached from other rays of the fin, no ray prolonged; dorsal-fin pterigiophores shorter than neural spines of first four caudal vertebrae; D 82-89, A 61-72, pectoral-fin rays on ocular side 13-15, blind-side 12-14, lateral line scales 69-83; gill rakers 1-7 + 5-9, vertebrae 10 + 30-32 (Ref. 126083). |
