Diagnosis |
Recognized by its generally more white color and smaller and rounder spots (Ref. 48635). Description: Characterized by whitish color with black spots; larger and widely spaced spots in young fish; smaller and more numerous spots with increased growth; body depth at gill opening 14-18 in TL. Origin of dorsal fin anterior to gill opening; anus near middle of body; single row of jaw teeth; enlarged canines in medial row in intermaxillary (Ref. 90102). |
