This species is distinguished by the following characters: with long and deep soft dorsal and anal fins, maximum depth about 50% of body depth and about equal to caudal peduncle depth; soft dorsal-fin rays 12-13; soft anal-fin rays 13; pectoral-fin rays 14; caudal fin rounded, principal caudal-fin rays 17, 15 branched, 10 or 11 upper and lower procurrent caudal-fin rays; edge of preopercle with a smooth spine; each side of vomer with two teeth; single supernumerary spines in dorsal and anal fins (Ref. 120483). |
