Diagnosis

Differentiated from its congeners by the following unique set of characters: eye diameter 1.9-3.2% HL; interorbital distance 19.2-25.1% HL; snout length 28.6-34.1% HL; length of caudal peduncle 33.7-36.5% SL; 44-45 vertebrae; and brown spots on the dorsal and pectoral fins concentrated in a dark band in the distal half (Ref. 45707).
