Can be distinguished from all its congeners by the following combination of characters: dorsal-fin origin in front of anal-fin origin, both dorsal fin and anal fin with 21 rays in males, 17-18 in females, and sides of body of males pale golden with transverse brownish-purple bars (Ref. 51692). |
