melanophore
(English) A black chromatophore or pigment cell; black and brown pigmented cells (chromatophores) in the epidermis (skin) of a fish that are capable of changing size, shape and color by expansion and contraction. (See also: melanistic, chromatophore, melanocyte)
mélanophore
(French) Chromatophore noir ou cellule pigmentée ; cellules pigmentées noires et brunes (chromatophores) dans l'épiderme (peau) d'un poisson et qui sont capables de changer de taille, forme et couleur par expansion et contraction. (See also: melanistic, chromatophore, melanocyte)
