(English) Derived from the Greek 'home-loving'. Refers to the drive or tendency of an individual to return to, or stay in, its home area. (See also: migration, homing accuracy)

(French) 'Casanier', dérivé du grec 'philos', c.-à-d., 'aimer' et du latin 'patria', c.-à-d., 'pays du père'. Fait référence à l'instinct ou la tendance d'un individu de revenir à, ou de rester dans, sa zone de naissance. (See also: migration, homing accuracy)
