Definition of Term

ichthyocrinotoxin
(English) The poison produced by a glandular secretion of fishes which is not associated with a venom apparatus. Glands in the skin release their contents into the water where they are toxic and usually lethal to other fishes. (See also: ichthyocrinotoxic fishes, fish poisoning, venom apparatus)
