Symptoms: | The eye portrudes in its socket because of the accumulation of fluid behind the eye. And a swollen eye that is filled with fluid may also occur. Also dropsy and ascites usually comes with this disease. | |
Treatments: | This disease can be treated eith a wide variety of anti-microbial medicines, such as Tetracycline, Neomycine, Nitrofurazone, Nifurpirinol, Furaltadone or Quinoles. Each medicine depends on the type of bacteria infecting the fish. Seek advise from a veterinarian or your local aquarium shop. | |
