Max. size:  40 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range - 37 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Chagos Islands to Hawaiian and Society Islands; north to Marshall Islands and throughout Micronesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 0-0. TL to 37 cm.
Biology:  Occurs in lagoon and seaward reefs (Ref. 1602). Benthic at 1-15 m (Ref. 58302).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 19 August 2011 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
