Max. size:  13.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; brackish; marine, oceanodromous
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: restricted to southern Japan and adjacent coasts.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common in protected inshore or estuarine habitats and among Zostera sp. (Ref. 5316). Ovoviviparous (Ref. 205). The male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail (Ref. 205).
