Diagnosis: | Diagnosed from all the cave-dwelling congeners in China by having the following characters: highly degenerated eyes; dorsal fin with 7 branched rays; and caudal fin forked. Similar to Triplophysa macromaculata by its highly degenerated eyes, absence of blotches, and caudal fin forked (Ref. 79800). | |||
