Family:  Rivulidae (Rivulines), subfamily: Rivulinae
Max. size:  10 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: MamorĂ© River basin, Bolivia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10; Anal soft rays: 14-17. Diagnosed by having curved mouth cleft; small head length (27.6-28.6% SL in juvenile; adults of all Trigonectes species have smaller heads than juveniles; so far T. rogoaguae adults were not available) (Ref. 26656).
Biology:  Bottom spawner, 6 months incubation (Ref. 27139).
