Oceanic and mesopelagic (Ref. 7300). Enters estuaries (Ref. 9563). Feeds on pelagic crustaceans (Ref. 27637); fishes, squids, urochordatans, and nematodes (Anisakidae) were found in the stomach of specimens caught off the coasts of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil (Ref. 56498). |
