Family:  Pomacentridae (Damselfishes), subfamily: Microspathodontinae
Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 2 - 35 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic: known only from Saint Helena Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-17; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 14-15
Biology:  Adults inhabit rocky or rubble reefs (Ref. 7247). Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate (Ref. 205). Males guard and aerate the eggs (Ref. 205).
