Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: only present in the Lulua River (Kasai drainage, middle Congo River basin), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 52307).
Diagnosis:  Diagnosis: 15-16 circumpeduncular scales (Ref. 52307). Description: body slender; males sometimes with a hump on the head (Ref. 52307).
Biology:  Rheophilic; pair-bonding and cave spawning species (Ref. 52307). Maximum TL was recorded at 7.5 cm (Ref. 5696).
