Diagnosis: |
Diagnosed from its congeners in Apennine Peninsula by the following characters: body depth 19-23% SL; snout pointed; dorsal fin with 8½ branched rays; anal fin with 9½ branched rays; 42-46 + 2-3 scales on lateral line; very faint black pigments along free margin of flank scales above lateral line; head length 24-27% SL, greater than body depth; head width 43-48% HL; mouth terminal; anal and pelvic fins hyaline to black (Ref. 59043). |
