Distribution:  Oceania: Marquesas Islands, Fatu Hiva Island.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-12; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 10. Characterised by its specific coloration, less than 65 lateral scale rows of which the most anterior scales are of small size and a superior lip with three notches and one whole edge (Ref. 12767).
