Environment:  bathypelagic; marine; depth range 0 - 2100 m
Distribution:  Pacific Ocean: Coral Sea and Gulf of California. Also known from the Eastern Central Atlantic.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 15-17; Vertebrae: 43-45
Biology:  All captures were made with open nets fishing (Ref. 9791). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
