Family:  Anthiadidae (Fairy basslets or Streamer basses)
Max. size:  18 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 155 - 325 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: Gulf of California to Ecuador and Galapagos Islands. Western Central Atlantic: Gulf of Mexico to Suriname (Ref. 13608).
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-15; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Body pale red dorsally, silver-white ventrally; fins pale yellow (Ref. 13608).
Biology:  Probably a gregarious and plankton-eating fish found near the bottom.
