This species is distinguished by the following characters: with spinulated (without break) posterior and lower edges of praeoperculum; insertion of ventral fins is slightly anterior or level to the vertical of the posterior edge of pectoral fin insertion; upper jaw extends to the vertical of the posterior edge of the eye; dorsal fin with 12-14 soft rays, anal fin with 8-10; rakers on the first gill arch 27-30; vertebrae 28-29; pyloric caeca 7 (Ref. 83718). |
Seined with non-closing fishing gear in the water horizon of 8000-0 m; and one catch was performed with a dip net near water surface (Ref. 83718). |
